Friends,
Nothing much new today. The doctor was happy with my progress. He now has extended my time away from the hospital to two days instead of one. Yesterday I really crashed emotionally. Then my brother called and said he was coming to visit this week. Then we went out and actually accomplished something. I worked out for a while with this green rubber band the Physical Therapist gave me. Finally, I spent most of the afternoon feeling warm. It turned out to be a pretty good day after all! The intestinal problems are improving slowly, but I am not absorbing fluids properly so my creatinine is creeping up. Creatinine is an indicator of kidney function. If it is high, that can indicate kidney problems. I think once I get my intestines back in shape, the kidneys will be fine. My next hospital visit will be on Wednesday.
