December 24, 2003, DAY #57
Friends,
It was a quiet day at the doctor's office, so we were in and out of there pretty quickly. The rash is clearing up slowly, so the doctor is happy. The blood counts continue to waffle a bit. I have read that there is a phenomenon of a "60 day slump". Maybe that is why things are going down a little. I guess this is pretty normal, and everything recovers nicely in the end. We had a pretty relaxing day for a change today, opening Christmas presents with my parents today because we will be so busy tomorrow getting things set up for the wedding. Menchie and I are thinking of going on a little sightseeing trip on Saturday, just to get away from it all for a little while and relax, sort of a half day honeymoon. Just to remind anyone who wants to know, the wedding is at 2:00pm here at City of Hope, with an informal reception afterward.
On the medical front, nothing going on. My creatinine level is still at 1.3. Sure would like to get that down a couple of tenths! As I said, the rashes are fading slowly. No changes to medications. All is well. The next appointment is on Monday. The doctor said he wouldn't make us come in Friday because we were getting married.
