All,
Thanks everybody for your patience and waiting for today's update. I've been sleeping a lot today (I think it's all them drugs):-)))). I had a quiet day today. Menchie spent the afternoon goofing off, well, she did do the laundry. She went with her sister and a friend to see "Charlie's Angels". She says it is not worth it. Yesterday afternoon, a bunch of hams descended on my room. Fortunately, they missed my bed. We had a lot of fun talking about field day and Terry did a bunch of magic tricks. It was pretty amazing. My boss, Joe, also dropped in and I got a chance to see the 1979 Spyder he is restoring. I would have gone for a ride, but I didn't want to get too close to the interior for fear of infection. It was a fun evening. Today I got to spend some time walking and sitting outside, talking on the radio and the cellular phone.
Not a whole lot new on the medical front. I am still getting the heparin drip and they started me on coumadin last night. Because of all the blood thinning drugs, they have increased my platelet transfusion threshold to 25, so I got a transfusion of platelets today.
