All,
Good evening everybody. I am very tired tonight, so this will probably be short. I was able to work a few hours today, which was encouraging. Thanks to my co-workers at SPAWAR for a nice card. I took a walk along the side of the golf course today, Menchie didn't like that but I had fun. It was wonderful listening to the bird and smelling the flowers on the trees.
On the medical front, the doctor says that I am doing great and he appreciates the amount of walk I am doing. Eating has been a little bit of a chore today. The nurse says that's because the chemotherapy has started to kill off the lining of my gastrointestinal tract from the mouth down. I am feeling some discomfort on a fairly constant basis. The nurse says that it will probably get better soon, I hope so. Still on the heparin drip, waiting for the coumadin to reach the proper level. I am guessing that my low energy level today probably indicates a blood transfusion tomorrow. I asked the nurse to make it extra large but she won't do it, go figure:-)
