Health Update, June 12, 2009

Friends,

Good Evening! I wanted to give you a quick update. This week has
been a week. I had a dentist appointment on Tuesday. He trimmed some
of the gum around my implants and tightened one of the caps on them a
little. He used a small high powered laser to do the work, cauterizing
and vaporizing the flesh. I was sitting there thinking, “so this is
what cooking human smells like!” My nose, of course, was very close
to the “cooking meat". OK, I am being disgusting, I guess, but that
was about the best thing that has happened all week. Anyway, He made
an appointment for me to get the rest of the implants finished on
July 30. That will be great.

The PT I am doing is going great. I can almost extend my arm
straight up all the way now. It still hurts now and then, but not as
much.

The really fun news came when I went to the office yesterday
afternoon. First they told me in sort of an off hand comment that the
job they were going to put me in had vaporized like my gum tissue.
Then I went to talk to my boss, and he told me that in addition to
not having a job to go to when the contract ends, the contract would
probably be ending this coming week instead of at the end of June or
July. This was pretty devastating news, and together these little
tidbits were incredibly overwhelming. Anyone want to buy a nice house
in La Mesa? I looked for jobs all day today. If you hear of any jobs
in the Project Management and IT areas, please let me know.

Well, today is my first 55th birthday. Wouldn’t it be cool if I got
to my second 55th birthday? Last week on Facebook I took a quiz on
how old my body was. When I saw it I thought it would be pretty
funny. The results are out there on Facebook. It said my body was 35
years old. Yeah, Right. If you hear of any jobs

No lab work to report on, just this little update to say hello.

Please have a great weekend!
