November 27, 2006 , Day 41
Friends,
Hey, everyone! Today was a busy day for me. I slept well, and woke up feeling good. Before breakfast we went for a walk. We made it around the atrium twice. That was very neat for me. I had a good breakfast and spent most of the morning paying bills and working on disability things. I even made a few phone calls. Hmmm, sounds like being a human being again. After a great lunch, which we brought in from outside, the Physical Therapist arrived and I had my workout. I made it around the atrium two more times! I was so jazzed and so exhausted. Then my doctor arrived, and after a quick exam, told me that they are switching all my medications to pills so that I could go home. Tonight, I took the full spectrum of pills. I am getting an IV of Cyclosporine which will be my last IV right now. This has been a great day! Pretty soon, it looks like we will be going home. I can't wait!
On the medical front, they are stopping the bactrim, to see if the rash on my arms goes away. They will replace it with some kind of an inhaler taken every three weeks. No transfusion today.
