November 5, 2003, DAY #8
Friends,
Just another ho-hum day in the hospital grind. Some highlights though, I got a new mattress. This is going to have a huge impact on my ability to sleep. I don't feel like I am lying on bedsprings anymore. I slept relatively well last night with no strobe lights but some very vivid dreams, perhaps enhance by the drug Voriconazole. I felt pretty good most of the day. Walked three times today getting in over an hour. Late this afternoon, I got slightly nauseous but it passed. I am predicting a platelet transfusion tomorrow.
On the medical front, the lab result are inconclusive today, about whether I "started" or not. There are few odds and ends that we haven't mention. I am getting Mylanta as needed for acid reflux and Lomotil for diarrhea when indicated. Lab results are interesting, WBC held steady, everything else dropped. My creatinine held steady at 1.4 thru the day.
